The Crescent sits in a prime town-centre location, just minutes from the mainline station with high-speed links to London. With families increasingly looking to relocate from the capital for more space and a coastal lifestyle, our brief was clear: create homes that meet modern family needs without compromise.
The site presented an 8-metre level change – a challenge that could easily have led to flattening the land. Instead, we embraced the natural contours. The crescent-shaped layout steps with the terrain, supported by a substantial retaining wall at the rear, creating level gardens – a rare and highly desirable feature for such a central location. The judges commented that it is an “interesting new development with clever adaptation to the contour of the site.”
