Tolman Grand Prix Raises Over £7,000 for Demelza

On Wednesday 10th June, we welcomed contractors, consultants, suppliers, agencies and business partners from across Kent and the South East to Buckmore Park Kart Circuit for the inaugural Tolman Grand Prix, a charity fundraising event in support of Demelza.

The event was created as an opportunity to bring together the people and businesses we work with throughout the year, step away from the day-to-day of site meetings and project deadlines, and enjoy a fun afternoon of friendly competition. At the same time, we wanted to raise money for a charity that provides invaluable support to children with serious or life-limiting conditions and their families.

While the racing got off to a great start, increasingly heavy rain throughout the afternoon eventually made conditions unsafe for the final race to take place. Despite the challenging conditions, the enthusiasm never faded. The good spirits shown by everyone throughout the day were a real reflection of the people and businesses involved, and reaching a fundraising total of £7,255 despite the shortened schedule is something everyone should be incredibly proud of.
